turn your bathroom into a self care destination

September was Self Care Awareness Month, a reminder to take moments for rest and renewal. A big component of self-care is having the perfect environment to calm your soul. Choosing the right tile for your space can make all the difference. To celebrate all year long, we?ve put together some photos of beautiful bathrooms to serve as inspiration for turning your own home spa into a self-care destination.

Using neutral-colored tile is an immediate go-to for home spas. In this example which uses the Freehand collection by?WOW, we recommend adding in those accent tiles that break up the neutrality to add a bit of interest without taking away too much from the calming monochromatic color scheme. It?s also a great example of how adding a built-out shelf near the tub gives the perfect space to keep your bathroom essentials.

There?s something about glass tile that feels extra luxurious. This bathroom uses Agate Taiko glass mosaic tile from?Lunada Bay Tile?as an accent wall with a pearlescent finish. Along with the light from the sconces, it almost gives the illusion of a waterfall to create a soothing backdrop for the bathtub.

Talk about a dreamy bathroom! For a more modernized approach, use floor-to-ceiling marble tile, like this one by?Walker Zanger.?Using glass panes to separate the shower space from the tub space is an additional bonus. We also suggest using dimmable light fixtures to give an easy transition from day-time get-ready mode to night-time spa mode.

We saved the ultimate self-care destination for last. It?s impossible not to love everything about this bathroom, from the tub as the focal point, to the detailed mirror background, to the personal vanity. The beautifully honed stone tile is London Calling by?AlysEdward. If you?re looking for the perfect place for some R&R after a long day, this would do it!
