Many of the responsibilities of the Warehouse Associate position would include your normal warehouse tasks, such as shipping and receiving and warehouse maintenance. More specifically, some of your daily responsibilities would include:?
- Receiving and unloading shipments
- Tracking products received
- Inputting orders into our online system?
- Operating the tow motor and forklift?
- Making deliveries as needed
- Making sure the warehouse is kept clean and tidy?
- Keeping the sample area and the wet saw area clean
Not only will you be working in the warehouse but you will also be interacting with customers daily. Some of your responsibilities relating to customer assistance would include:
- Welcoming customers by greeting them and offering assistance
- Ensuring the highest level of customer service and order accuracy
- Engaging customers by providing information on products, use, and product nuances.
- Helping customers make selections by building customer confidence; offering suggestions and opinions
- Reviewing orders with customers prior to their leaving the warehouse ? making certain picking ticket matches product taken
- Processing payments by totaling purchases; processing checks, cash, and other credit cards
- Keeping clientele informed by notifying them of order arrivals, in-stock products, special order products, availability and lead times, quick ship materials and future merchandise of potential interest
- Answering telephone and email inquiries
